Uzazi Village is a nonprofit organization dedicated to decreasing maternal and infant health inequity among Black and Brown communities. Through education, support, and advocacy, Uzazi Village works to improve perinatal health in the Kansas City community and around the country. We work every day to build a respectful and supportive healthcare system that fosters equitable and sustainable outcomes in maternal and infant health.
Touch of Gold
Touch of Gold is a nonprofit organization that centers minority populations on the journey of motherhood. Our purpose is to be the bridge between mothers and the support necessary to achieve healthy pregnancies, fulfilling births, successful nursing experiences, empowered parenting, and enriched lives.
Centers for disease control and prevention:
CDC’s Division of Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Obesity (DNPAO) is committed to increasing breastfeeding rates throughout the United States and to promoting and supporting optimal breastfeeding practices toward the ultimate goal of improving the public’s health.
Melanated Maternal Support, is a CLC ran, inclusive, and fact-based lactation counseling service. My goal is to make lactation care affordable and accessible to ALL dyads, but POC in particular. I offer a variety of virtual and in-person options for new parents, caregivers, and veteran breast/chest feeders alike.
